FEBRUARY 16TH 2017:- ah, well, Feb 16th… what a bummer. I got about 500 words down and the rest of the time, I was tinkering around trying to find something I’d written before that I hadn’t highlighted in red, brown or purple. But I did find the passage and deal with it… can’t remember what needed doing, so that means I should be in for a straight run tomorrow and, if I’m lucky, get my total back up. I’m in chapter five so I have got a feeling of moving the story on and the tensions between the characters are developing well, as are the tendernesses. Later on, these unlikely looking men have some relevance in the story as they were in the foreground of the pretend spirit communication business that stirred up so many longings in the Victorians.
