Strong-hearted stories, dark & funny

9. WRITING THE CHILD CEPHALINA… need to step up the energy in the story now.

February 18th 2017:-  I’m not falling behind with the word number, but I don’t know about the quality of the words and language. I sense that I’m limping a bit at the moment, this is still chapter five. there had to be a lull in the action and some preparation for what comes later. For instance, my main character Groves is going to need a friend along with him later on in the book, so I’ve taken the opportunity to mention Elias Hood, who is the friend, now, so that he doesn’t pop up unexpectedly later on. I guess this is an all change chapter and it’s a bit like the spring equinox bringing new oxygen into the mix. I’m two chapters ahead of the chapter map and just coming up to the point where the drama has to be heightened and some weirdness has to creep in. Main character can’t stand all the noise the street musicians make.
