I’ve been putting these diary notes up here for some long time now, so it’s time I said that THE CHILD CEPHALINA will be published at the end of this year, and you can be sure that I’ll flash it up here when it is. In the meanwhile, the following is what I wrote about about the morning’s work on April 16th, 2017:-
‘Finally, I returned to the tangled-up chapter and managed to sort it out. When I come to the second draft there will be work to do on it, details to put in, but the flow of the dialogue now makes more sense and is a lot stronger. I’m behind in word count because I took days off, but I don’t think it’s going to matter as I’m so close to the end now, that I think the novel will be around 75 or 76 thousand words long, rather than 80 thousand… still a healthy number, and I might even finish sooner than I expected to.’
