22. WRITING THE CHILD CEPHALINA… distracted by real life.

8th March 2017:- Hopeless writing morning because I got called out of the house early to deal with something else and so when I got home, my attention had gone, so instead of writing, I began the process of reading the text out aloud and changing words where necessary. Then I bookmarked the last page I read by changing the colour of the page number, so that when I carry out that task again, I won’t go back over what I have already read. In the process, I was looking up Victorian slang and happened to come across two excellent books written at the time both of which I could download free, so in the end my morning was productive even if in not the way I had intended.

I looked at my chapter notes again and realised that I had only been following them vaguely. But I haven’t left out anything vital in the writing of the novel. Perhaps the chapter notes are just comfort blankets. Below a picture of those naughty Fox sisters.
